It holds a special place in the hearts of those of us
that grew up in the downriver community.
Who could ever forget the smell?
Believe it or not, many of the younger generation
have never even heard of Wonder Well.
(Even though it was featured in Ripley's Believe it or Not!)
In an effort to preserve this unique piece of Michigan history,
author and historian Steven J. Frey is researching and writing
a new book about Wonder Well!
